Heri Fadli is a filmmaker based in Indonesia. He began his filmmaking career within a campus-based filmmaker community in Yogyakarta, where he fell in love with the way films convey stories. That early encounter set the direction of his work, and he continues to pursue filmmaking, developing short fiction that he has taken to audiences at home and abroad.
His short films "Jamal" and "Blue Poetry" have been screened at international film festivals including Minikino Film Week, Sundance: Asia, Slamdance, the Tampere Film Festival, Clermont-Ferrand, Toronto Reel Asian, the Jogja-Netpac Asian Film Festival, the Kaohsiung Film Festival, Bogoshorts, and Show Me Shorts.
