Cédric Kouamé is a multimedia artist, DJ, producer, and radio host, also known as African Diplomat, based in Côte d'Ivoire. Cédric's practice spans sculpture, photography, and performative activations. Working primarily with 35-mm film, his photographic work includes street portraiture, architectural studies, and "The Gifted Mold Archive", a personal collection of damaged negatives and positives initiated in 2012, exploring memory, materiality, and transformation within Ivorian society.
He holds an advanced technician certificate in communication and trained at the project space Klaym in Abidjan with photographers Joana Choumali and Flurina Rothenberger, and participated in residencies and workshops with sculptors Kafana Soro and Daniel Bamigbadé. In 2023, he founded the Baoulecore Archive Center, a multidisciplinary space dedicated to the preservation and activation of Ivorian, African, and Black visual and sonic archives through community-based practices.
Cédric's work has been presented internationally, including "A Funeral for Street Culture" at Framer Framed, Amsterdam (2021), and "Elastic Vision" at Efie Gallery, Dubai (2024).
