Ayşegül Yapar is a visual artist and curator based in Türkiye. Her research investigates the intersections of humor, mobility, and spatial politics, navigating the transition between the domestic sphere and public space. Her work examines how power is mediated through labor and through the institutional frameworks that determine who has access to cultural participation.
Yapar holds a BA and an MA in Visual Arts and Communication Design from Sabanci University and an MA in Arts, Museology, and Curatorship from the University of Bologna. She is also the co-founder of metr.cube, an artist-led initiative based in Istanbul that uses mobility as both a medium and a method.
