Master Ney Lima pela Paz is a multidisciplinary artist, celebrated as a composer, percussionist, and musician, as well as a luthier who specializes in designing and building instruments, including banjos, from recyclable materials. His innovative craftsmanship intertwines with his commitment to making traditional carimbó music a sustainable practice.

Ney began his musical journey in the 1990s as part of the Movimento de Adolescentes do Curió in Belém. Over the years, he has played with renowned groups such as Paranativo and Pai d'Égua, cultivating a deep connection to the cultural roots of his community. Currently, Ney collaborates with the Cultural Space Coisas de Negro and performs with the carimbó groups Carimbó de Icoaraci and Os Africanos de Icoaraci, continuing his mission to preserve and innovate within the rich musical traditions of Brazil.
