Yosep Arizal is an Indonesian designer and visual artist based in Yogyakarta. In addition to a BA degree obtained from the Indonesian Institute of the Arts, he has also participated in the Art Critic & Young Curator Class by ruangrupa and Jakarta Art Council (2014), and was selected as a grantee of Arts Innovation & Professional Development Program for Performing Arts Residency in Padepokan Seni Bagong Kussidiardja, Yogyakarta (2021). His practice focuses on gender issues and art as a means of questioning and criticizing current gender phenomena. Yosep works collaboratively with feminists, female artists, queer individuals, and artists from different disciplines and hopes to contribute to the creation of a more equitable future.
