Profile

Vijchika Udomsrianan is a visual artist and filmmaker based in Thailand. Her practice examines how systems of authority in Thailand operate through everyday culture. With a background in advertising and fashion, she engages internet culture and popular aesthetics, blending memes, folklore, and traditional myths within Bangkok’s transforming, media-saturated landscape.

Drawing on multiple storytelling strategies, including the framework of children’s stories, Vijchika employs allegory and dark humor to interrogate images that appear harmless or apolitical, revealing how authority is naturalized through care and moral virtue while shaping gendered bodies, displacement, and conditional belonging. She is a member of Speedy Grandma, an independent collective of artists, cultural practitioners, and activists. Her notable projects include the solo exhibition Fufu in Paradise (2024) at KICHgallery.
