Tan Yubing is an artist based in Chengdu, China. She graduated from School of the Art Institute of Chicago in 2020 with an MFA degree in Fiber and Material Studies. Her artistic practice involves the creation of puppets, miniatures, sculptures, stop-animations, and fabric works. Yubing believes in the power of softness and the meditative process of craft-making. Currently, her studio is located in a suburban chemical factory where she finds a brand-new understanding of art, people, and life.
