Profile
Swati Kumari is a visual practitioner based in India. Working across mediums such as drawings on carbon paper, soft sculptures, video, installations, letters, and books, she seeks to trace the trajectory of generational fatigue in women’s bodies. Through her practice, Swati invites viewers to engage with the work by sitting, lying down, resting, and conversing over it. Her artist books evoke intuitive responses rooted in her memories, surroundings, and experiences within the urban landscape.
Swati has participated in the Khoj Peers residency in Delhi and is featured in "Book Show I", curated by Priyesh Gothwal. She holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the College of Art and a Master’s in Visual Arts from Ambedkar University, Delhi.
