Profile
Marcus Deusdedit is a visual artist based in Brazil. His work explores the intersection of art, architecture, and design. Marcus’s research explores possible aesthetic displacement in these fields’ codes, their distortions, and tensions, through the lens of socioeconomic and racial issues. He develops work in various mediums, ranging from photography to three-dimensional objects and multimedia installations, always connected by the gesture of editing and remixing.
Marcus was selected as a resident artist in the 8th edition of the Bolsa Pampulha program and at FAAP, awarded the 4th Décio Noviello Visual Arts Prize, and has participated in important institutional exhibitions such as the 14ª Bienal do Mercosul. He graduated from the School of Architecture at UFMG and is currently pursuing a master’s degree at FAUUSP.
