Marcos Jinguba is a poet, art curator, and cultural producer based in Angola. He embraced cultural activism at an early age and is one of the varied energizers and agitators of the Luandan cultural system, looking at cultural politics, gender issues, urban dynamics, and racial issues as tools for his work. Marcos is a mentor and founder of the production and cultural promotion agency, Kianda Sessions, and a cultural producer and founding member of the Criticism and Curatorial Lab, a platform for research and sharing of curatorial practices. Marcos also works as a curator and art director at contemporary art gallery Movart in Luanda, and he contributes to literary organizations, such as Lev’Arte Movement.
