Hana Gamal is an Egyptian photographer and visual artist based in Egypt. Born and raised in Cairo, she graduated from the American University in Cairo with a dual degree in Mass Communication and Media Arts, and Psychology. In 2021, she completed an advanced photography program in Photojournalism at The Danish School of Media and Journalism (DMJX) in Aarhus, Denmark.Her journey began in 2011 with the rise of the Egyptian revolution, and since then, photography became her voice and greatest passion in life. Hana's visual approach is an anthropological/psychological one. Being deeply sensitive, emotional by nature and passionate about psychology, poetry and visual art, her work ventures deep into the chaotic, complex, and poetic inner world of the human soul; bringing the inner world of meaning and the outer world of appearances, two worlds flowing and becoming one.
