Caxtrinho is a musician based in Brazil. He comes from Belford Roxo, a city on the outskirts of Rio de Janeiro, and works as an artist from the Baixada Fluminense with deep roots in Afro-Brazilian religions. Through his music he seeks to politicise and to provoke reflection.
Caxtrinho’s sound is guided by his percussive guitar and experimental pop compositions, full of swing and social criticism. He released his first album, “QUEDA LIVRE,” through QTV Selo in 2024. His work continues to draw on the cultural life of the Baixada Fluminense and on Afro-Brazilian religions.
