Aristote Mago is a visual artist based in the Democratic Republic of Congo. He holds a BAC in Plastic Arts at the Institute of Fine Arts in Kinshasa and later studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Congo. His work has been exhibited in different venues since 2014. He has completed several residencies since 2015. Aristote starts with “banal-thing” materials which he transforms, deforms, superimposes piece by piece, and joins together until they become works of art as well as tools of communication on climate emergency and queer expression.
