Profile

Aminata Thiam, known as Myamy TheAyGirl, is the pioneer of female beatmaking in Senegal. Alongside her roles as a sound technician and electronic music trainer, she founded Njégem’Art GROUP, dedicated to advancing sound and electronic music careers among the youth, particularly women, in Senegal. Aminata's entrepreneurial spirit led to the establishment of Music Mouv Senegal, a significant professional event fostering training, brainstorming, and networking opportunities for emerging talents.

Her work not only breaks gender barriers in the music industry but also amplifies the voices of underrepresented groups in Senegal's cultural landscape. Aminata Thiam's impact resonates beyond her innovative projects; it extends to empowering a new generation of artists and technicians.
