Profile

Ali Haj Suleiman is a Syrian photojournalist with over ten years of experience in photography. His work has covered social and military events as well as humanitarian conditions, particularly in Idlib governorate. He has worked with several NGOs, human rights organizations and local and international media outlets, including Al-Jazeera English, Getty Images, Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch and the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.  Ali has participated in many local and international exhibitions and has received several awards and recognitions, including a Pulitzer Prize for investigative journalism as part of the New York Times team, an Anthem Award for investigative journalism with Human Rights Watch, the Sheikh Saoud Al Thani Project Award and an honorary distinction in the UNICEF Photo of the Year Awards. Ali has also been shortlisted for several international awards.
