Ali Al Shehabi is a visual artist and photographer from Bahrain whose practice focuses on portraying the contemporary Arab youth culture in the Middle East. The distance from home — he lived in Japan and attended Tokyo University of Arts (2017) — inspired him to express and document his views and experiences within his own culture. Shehabi's work involves storytelling, soft humour, and a sense of nostalgia as his primary sources of inspiration are personal memories and pictures from his family's photo albums.
