Roberta Tavares is a distinguished historian and poet from Pará, with roots deeply connected to her quilombola heritage along the Cravo igarapé in the Amazon. As a member of the Study and Research Group on Slavery and Abolitionism in the Amazon (GEPEAM/CNPQ) and the Network of Black Historians (HN), she contributes significantly to the field of historical research. Tavares has authored two poetry books: "Lugar de Se Morrer é Também o Poema" and "Mulheres de Fogo". The latter earned her the prestigious Preamar prize for art and culture from SECULT/PA in 2022. Additionally, she is a key organizer of the cultural event "Sarau do Povo da Noite".
