Renata Aguiar is a visual artist, educator and researcher based in Pará. Renata holds a PhD in Visual Arts and a degree in Visual Arts and Image Technology. Her research focuses on the poetic-political potentials of the body-image through the lenses of gender and territory. Renata participates in various initiatives aimed at the artistic education of young people and adults, including the cineclub project "Cinepesca", which works on community audiovisual training to build peripheral narratives through the eyes of the islanders in Belém and its surroundings.
