Beatriz Paiva is a visual artist, cultural producer, and independent curator based in Belém do Pará, Brazil. She is part of the Ilustra Pretice PA collective, Nacional TROVOA, Coletivo Odisséia, and she's also the creator of the Goma de Tapioca platform. In her work, Beatriz investigates the relationship between art and the city, gender and sexuality, focusing on the affectivity of Black lesbian women, diasporic ancestry and Amazonian territoriality.
