For decades, the Palace has been a place to bring our global community together, share artists’ stories and champion the power of culture. We return to recognise that shared legacy and imagine what comes next.
Featuring performances and talks by members of our global network, including Leonel Vásquez, 2025 CAREC Fellow, Khtek, 2022 Seed Awardee, Lapdiang Syiem, 2024 CAREC Fellow, and the 2026 Impact Award Jury members Ibrahim Mahama, Daniela Ortiz, and Fatima Bintou Rassoul SY.
kąrî’kạchä seid’ou, the 2026 Impact Awardee, will officially receive the Impact Award and join Adjo Daiki Apodey Kisser for a performance of his poem "Boundaries, Scars, and Sores". Throughout the evening, Mezrab, storytelling collective and Exchanges Programme partner, serves as a storytelling thread and co-host.
Combining reflection with the imagination and inspiration of the arts, the ceremony celebrates our shared legacy and looks towards the future, guided by a conviction that remains as vital as ever: culture is a basic need.
