Exchanges with Eye & Netherlands Film Academy

From 24 to 28 September, the Fund’s Exchanges programme will present a special series of events in collaboration with Eye Filmmuseum and Netherlands Film Academy, featuring the participation of internationally renowned filmmaker and 2016 Prince Claus Awardee Apichatpong Weerasethakul.

This programme unfolds alongside Apichatpong’s contribution to Tilda Swinton’s exhibition at Eye Filmmuseum, creating a vibrant backdrop for a week of creative exploration. Over the course of five days, the initiative will bring together eight remarkable filmmakers: four emerging voices from across the Prince Claus Fund’s global network and four recent graduates of the Netherlands Film Academy’s Master of Film programme.

Guided by Apichatpong, the filmmakers will immerse themselves in an intensive, collaborative journey—experimenting with narrative structures, reimagining cinematic form, and engaging in dialogue across cultures and artistic traditions. The programme not only fosters innovation in storytelling but also creates a platform for exchange, reflection, and the forging of new creative connections.
