Tara Abdullah is a visual artist based Iraq. Working across installation, sound, and performance, her practice explores themes of resilience, identity, and social justice. Through her art, she challenges societal norms, fosters dialogue, and uplifts marginalized voices. For Tara, art is a tool for advocacy and transformation, sparking change and empowering communities.
Her notable projects include “The Feminine Project”, a 5-kilometer installation confronting gender-based violence; “Voice”, a powerful sound installation that amplifies women’s complaints through public broadcasts; and “InBetween”, a work for the Future Generation Art Prize symbolizing solidarity between Kurdish and Ukrainian women.
