Profile

Miliswa Ndziba is an architecture practitioner and researcher based in South Africa. Miliswa is a co-founder of the furniture design studio "What Has Two Eyes and Too Many Ears?" and the architecture collective "room19isaFactory." Her work focuses on dismantling spatio-political utopias through world-building techniques like Saidiya Hartman's "Critical Fabulation" and child-play. Through her practice, she challenges traditional architectural norms and seeks to create transformative societal impacts.

As a play-maker, Miliswa views architecture as a means to manifest the fantasies of individuals through innovative space-making. Her notable contributions include her role as a Research Associate at VIAD at the University of Johannesburg and her previous position as a GSA Unit 19 assistant.
