Mathare Youth Sports Association (MYSA) is a community development organization based in Kenya. MYSA operates out of Nairobi's Mathare slum, one of Africa's largest and most impoverished areas, where it promotes sports, primarily football, as a vehicle for socio-economic development and positive social change. Through its approach, MYSA has grown to become a force in the community, giving young people skills, confidence, and opportunities to aim higher and improve their lives.The organization is renowned for its self-help projects that integrate sports with environmental clean-ups, education, HIV/AIDS education programs, and other community service activities.
