Profile

María Bravo Rodríguez is a visual artist based in Colombia. María's practice delves into the socio-economic insecurities present in the peripheral areas of southern Barranquilla, where she both resides and creates her work. With a BFA in Plastic Arts from the Universidad del Atlántico, she addresses pressing local issues through powerful visual narratives.

María's work has been showcased in numerous exhibitions, including "Lenguajes en Papel" at Galería El Museo in Bogotá, "SkypeLab 1000 Pixel Project" in Landes Baden-Württemberg, Berlin, and "Jagüey3: Art Encounters" in the Caribbean at the Universidad del Norte in Barranquilla. Her contributions not only highlight the struggles of her community but also foster broader conversations on social justice.
