Heba Khalifa is a multimedia artist, photojournalist, and painter based in Egypt. Her work is exploring the constrictions of motherhood and societal expectations of women through a blend of photography, painting, and multimedia art. Heba's art often reflects her own experiences, including her journey as a single mother and her struggles with societal norms concerning women's roles and bodies.Khalifa's dedication to documenting and representing women and gender issues has led her to work with the Arabic newspaper Al-Shorouk and to participate in projects like the Arab Documentary Photography Program as a teacher's assistant. Heba's work has been showcased in solo exhibitions like "One Step" and "Temporary Absence" and several group exhibitions in Cairo, offering insights into the struggles and resilience of women in Egyptian society and beyond.
