Profile

Devika Sundar is an Indian visual artist whose practice shifts across different mediums, layering elements of painting, printmaking and collage with photography, assemblage and installation. She has an undergraduate diploma in Art and Design, with a specialisation in Contemporary Art Practice from Srishti Institute of Art, Design and Technology. She is an Inlaks Fine Art Awardee (2020) and had a Winning Proposal from the Boundaries Exhibit Open call: Archives at NCBS (2021). Her work has been exhibited at various locations in Bangalore and New Delhi since 2018, and was last featured in a group exhibition at the Delhi Contemporary Art Week (2021). In her practice she explores collective themes of invisibility, illness, memory and impermanence, within personal and shared human experience. Her work explores the clinical boundaries of diagnostic imaging, examining the hidden obscurities and ambiguities of our interior environments.
