Denys Torchylevskyi is a visual artist based in Ukraine. He works with video art and documentary film, exploringthemes that relate to transformation and the search for identity, rethinking history, social activism, and humanity in the context of war.
In 2022, Denys’ visual essays about the consequences of the Russian invasion of Ukraine were presented at the German online gallery Produktionshaeuser (The Alliance of International Production Houses). As a visual artist and video jockey, he has collaborated with artists from the Kyiv electronic music scene, such as NFNR (Olesia Onykiienko) and unwavemenot (Anna Khvyl). Currently, as a creative producer, he is working on a documentary about the lives of children and adolescents in the frontline city of Kharkiv.
