De L’Europe Amsterdam, established in 1896, is a luxury hotel and cultural landmark located along the Amstel River. Over its nearly 125-year history, it has become an emblem of Amsterdam’s heritage and craftsmanship, providing unique cultural experiences in the city. Similarly to the Prince Claus Fund, De L’Europe connects and welcomes international guests with local culture in Amsterdam.

At De L’Europe Amsterdam, we deeply value our partnership with Prince Claus Fund. As the guardian of local culture , this collaboration allows us to support and celebrate cultural initiatives that resonate with our commitment to fostering creativity and diversity. Together, we are able to make a meaningful impact on the arts and culture scene in Amsterdam, enriching the experiences of our guests and the broader community. We take pride in being the ‘Home of Original Amsterdam Luxury’.

Supported projects

Ever since 2019,  De L’Europe has hosted the Annual Prince Claus Fund Dinner on 6 September, which also marks the birthday of HRH Prince Claus.

By now a tradition that our community looks forward to every year, the 2024 Annual Dinner took its most innovative shape thus far. Seed Awardees Christian Sleiman and Kiều-Anh Nguyễn collaborated with chef Ben van Geelen from De L’Europe, creating a memorable experience for all guests. Themed around “Culture is preservation”, the evening resonated not only in the culinary sense but also reflected our current reality. As preservation alters and enriches food, we too must take steps to sustain our mission of supporting artists who work tirelessly to preserve their communities, cultures and traditions.

We are grateful to De L’Europe Amsterdam for standing next to us in times when culture is under pressure globally and artists need support more than ever before. By working together, we create a unique platform to exchange and amplify the message – culture is a basic need. Their support gives artists a unique space to experiment with bold ideas and create experiences for our supporters, inspiring greater commitment to positive social change.
