With the Impact Award, we honour six groundbreaking artists and cultural practitioners whose work inspires positive social change and engages with their local communities. These role models exemplify transformative power of culture, within their contexts and beyond.
Representing a variety of fields, from poetry and performance to visual art and filmmaking, these six individuals dedicate their work to addressing political and environmental issues, the nature of identity and human rights in forms that engage and empower their own communities.
The 2024 Impact Awardees were selected by an independent Jury comprised of five international and highly inspiring individuals. Throughout the selection process, the Jury was committed to thorough research and consideration of the nominees’ background, geography, gender, discipline, and the socio-political issues their work addresses.
