On 24 November, 14.30- 16.30, at EENWERK, join designer, bookmaker and long-time Prince Claus Fund collaborator Irma Boom for an exploration of bookmaking, storytelling and community.
For three decades, Irma Boom has helped shape the Fund’s visual identity and the way its stories are told and shared. This two-hour programme takes place across her studio and gallery, with two conversations moderated by Maya El Khalil.
The first conversation traces the designer's collaboration with the Fund, from early projects to the latest anniversary publication, exploring how stories and ideas inform her designs.
During the break, guests can browse publications Irma Boom has created with the Fund, followed by a short performance by members of storytelling collective Mezrab.
The second conversation looks at bookmaking as a shared creative practice: a way to connect people, bring different perspectives together and pass on knowledge in a changing world.
The event welcomes artists, students, designers, publishers, and anyone curious about the power of books, alongside international guests joining us for Awards Week.
