Between 17—20 September, Exchanges lands at Unfair, Amsterdam's annual contemporary art fair that brings together a new generation of contemporary artists, curators, and institutions shaping current artistic discourse.

This year, Unfair returns to Gashouder for UNFAIR26 where over 40 artists present new work in solo presentations and are directly connected to art-lovers and collectors. During these 4 days of art, Unfair goes "Back to the Future": after more than ten years of bringing artists and audiences together, this edition looks both back and forward, towards new collaborations, new voices and a new generation of makers.
At UNFAIR26, we present work by two Seed Awardees from our global network: Gvantsa Jishkariani (Georgia) and Aiganym Mukhamejan (Kazakhstan). Both artists develop practices rooted in contested histories, the politics of the body, and the resilience of cultural memory.

Unfair is a non-profit, artist-driven platform and contemporary art fair that focuses on supporting emerging artists and connecting them directly with audiences, collectors, and cultural institutions. Founded in 2012 by a group of artists, it started as an alternative art fair and has since grown into a year-round programme that includes exhibitions, events, and collaborative projects across Amsterdam.
