Sarah Al-Yahya is a creative technologist and artist based in Jordan. Her practice explores internet cultures, online communities, and how users appropriate digital tools to resist, organize, and imagine alternative worlds, with a focus on vernacular digital practices in Palestine and the SWANA region. She experiments with a range of media, including software art, augmented reality, physical computing, and participatory workshops.
Al-Yahya holds an MA in Human Rights and the Arts from Bard College, and her practice sits between art, technology, and human rights. Her work has been exhibited at new media festivals, including Ars Electronica and Mozilla Festival. She lives and works in Amman.
