Profile

Josue Yvan Castañeda Campos is a theatre director, teacher, investigator and producer born and raised in Callao, Perú. He is an MFA Theatre Directing candidate 2021 at Columbia University School of the Arts, New York, US. In the past, he has staged Así que pasen cinco años by Federico García Lorca, Lima (2020), The Cherry Orchard by Anton Chekhov, New York (2020), and Judith by Jean Giraudoux, New York (2019). He engages with artistic creative processes as both collective and individual journeys for self-knowledge through the ideas of image-making and performance composition as devices to dive into personal memory.
