Founded in 2012, the Tbilisi Photo Festival is a pioneering organization using the transformative power of arts as a catalyst for wide-reaching social and cultural changes in Georgia.

Through a variety of activities, Tbilisi Photo Festival has succeeded in becoming a platform for cultural and social exchange between international, regional, and local visual artists who use visual storytelling as a medium for social change and human rights advocacy. The organization is identified as a sustainable educational platform providing new opportunities for non-formal education for various groups including communities that represent ethnic and religious minorities living in remote regions of Georgia. Since 2015 the organization has implemented projects that target professional and financial empowerment of women professionals of visual arts in Georgia, South Caucasus as well as in larger regions.

Since its creation and due to the achievements made in using art for social justice purposes, the Tbilisi Photo Festival is considered a leading platform in arts & culture in the region of the South Caucasus.
