Natalia Garayalde is an Argentinian filmmaker. She has worked across a wide range of disciplines, including radio, journalism, and communications, before turning to cinema. She is currently writing a new film, continuing her research into the wounds that historical events leave on our bodies, both collectively and individually.
Natalia's first feature film, “Esquirlas/Splinters” (2020), has been screened at over thirty international film festivals and received numerous awards, including Best Director at Mar del Plata in Argentina, the Grand Prize at Jeonju Film Festival in Korea, and Best Film at L’Alternativa in Barcelona, among others. Natalia also works as a mentor for documentary projects. She studied Social Communication at the National University of Córdoba and earned her Master's at the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam.
