Lis Ferreira is an entrepreneur, cultural activist, and musician residing on the island of Caratateua. She is the creator of the brand Lis da Mata Gengibirra, known for its unique cachaça and ginger-infused drink. Since 2019, Lis has been an active presence in the cultural scene, beginning her journey with the Cobra Venenosa group. In that same year, she expanded her impact by conducting workshops in quilombola communities, teaching braiding, turban styling, and celebrating Black aesthetics in collaboration with the Casa Preta Collective. Lis's work weaves together tradition, culture, and entrepreneurship, empowering those around her.
