More than a physical space, Mutante (a self-managed publishing collective founded in 2015) is a cultural agent whose central focus is to bring the world of books to the classes that historically have been relegated from their right to write, read, be informed, make their history visible and nurture their creativity and artistic sensibility. Mutante knows that books have multiple possibilities of encounter between diverse professions that share political and ethical visions worthy of being seen and heard. Their commitment to grassroots publishing initiatives has led to the production of zines, chapbooks, and anthologies that challenge conventional literary norms.

Librería Mutante has been a part of the Fund's network since 2019, when they received a project grant through our Next Generation programme for their project Editorial Lab Mutante, as part of our past programmes.
