Ahmet works across a wide range of media, whose practice often engages with social, political, and institutional structures through collaborative and research-driven projects. He studied at the Faculty of Fine Arts at Hacettepe University in Ankara and completed his MA at the Faculty of Art and Design at Yıldız Teknik University in Istanbul. He currently lives and works between Amsterdam and Istanbul.
Ahmet has presented solo exhibitions at major international institutions including the Van Abbemuseum (Eindhoven), Kunsthalle Basel, Chisenhale Gallery (London), Kunsthal Charlottenborg (Copenhagen), and the Berkeley Art Museum and Pacific Film Archive (California). His work has also been featured in significant international exhibitions such as the Singapore Biennale (2025), the 17th Istanbul Biennial (2022), and the Asia Society Triennial in New York (2021).
In 2009, he co-represented Türkiye at the Venice Biennale. His long-term project "The Silent University" received the Visible Award in 2013 and reflects his ongoing interest in knowledge production, migration, and alternative pedagogies. His works are held in several public and private collections internationally.
