Throughout Awards Week, visit "Far and Familiar", bringing together the work of Sudanese photographers from the Prince Claus Fund’s Arab Documentary Photography Program. Curated by Ala Kheir and Building Beyond Senior Fellow Ola Hassanain, it brings together documentary and more lyrical approaches to photography, offering different perspectives on Sudan and the ways artists respond to a country in transformation.
Open throughout the week, the exhibition invites you to stop by, spend time with the work and discover the photographers’ different ways of seeing and documenting Sudan.
The photographers are part of the Arab Documentary Photography Program (ADPP), a joint initiative of the Prince Claus Fund, the Arab Fund for Arts and Culture and Magnum Foundation, supporting documentary photography practices across the Arab region since 2014, and made possible by the generous support from Gemeente Amsterdam through the Exchanges Programme.
