Submit your application for the Relief Grant

In order to submit the application form, you must insert your email address and search for your name in the Awardees directory. If your contact details are correct and match the ones you have used to apply to the Seed or Fellows Award, you will receive a confirmation email with a link to the application form.

The Urgency Programme Relief Grant is available only to Seed and Fellow Award recipients who received an Awards at least one year prior to submitting this application. The applicant must be from, living, and working in one of the Prince Claus Fund’s eligible countries. Please consult our eligibility criteria and FAQ. Eligibility criteria

The applicant must have received a Seed Award or Fellows Award at least one year prior to submitting a Relief Grant application.
The applicant must be from, living, and working in one of the Prince Claus Fund’s eligible countries.
The applicant must have submitted a complete application form and supporting materials (full address, bank account, passport scan, and any additional supporting material).
The Relief Grant is not intended for Awardees facing high-risk situations (e.g., immediate threats to life or safety).
Awardees can only receive the Relief Grant once per year.

Please note: this rolling call for applications is open exclusively to Prince Claus Fund Seed and Fellows Award recipients.

Assessment & decision-making

Each application is assessed by two independent international experts, who provide a graded evaluation along with qualitative feedback. Based on their recommendations, the Programmes Team Selection Committee makes the final decision.

All our Awardees work under pressure. That is why the core of our selection process is grounded in an understanding of this reality and a commitment to fair prioritisation among all submitted applications. To ensure this, we use a structured scoring system that evaluates each application based on two main criteria:

Impact Severity: based on the information provided by the applicant, external advisors evaluate the severity of the situation and its effect on the artist’s ability to continue their practice.

Urgency Scale: external advisors assess the time sensitivity of each application, determining whether support is needed immediately or can be deferred for up to a maximum of three months relative to other cases. If an application is deferred three times, it will be deemed ineligible for further review and subsequently rejected.

Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. However, the call temporarily closes once the monthly application cap, or the quarterly budget ceiling, is reached.

Accuracy of Information

I confirm that all information I provide in this application is true, accurate, and complete to the best of my knowledge.

Eligibility

I confirm that I have read the eligibility requirements for this grant and that I meet them.

Transfer of Funds

If awarded, I authorize the Prince Claus Fund to transfer the amount recommended by the external advisors to the bank account details provided in this application. If my bank account information changes before I receive the grant, I will immediately inform the Prince Claus Fund. If I do not have a bank account and wish the amount to be transferred to another person’s bank account, I authorize the Prince Claus Fund to make the transfer based on the details provided in the Bank Account section of my application. If I have no access to a bank account, I will indicate alternative methods of receiving the grant in my application.

Use of Funds

If awarded, I authorize the Prince Claus Fund to transfer the amount recommended by the external advisors to the bank account details I have provided in this application. If my bank account information changes before I receive the grant, I will immediately inform the Prince Claus Fund. I agree to use the funds solely for the purpose stated in this application.

Selection Process

I understand that submitting an application does not guarantee funding, and that the Prince Claus Fund may approve or reject applications based on the published selection procedure. Applications are reviewed and processed within four weeks after submission.

Data Protection & Privacy

I understand that the Prince Claus Fund will collect and use my personal data for the purpose of administering the grant and handling applications, and that it aims to do so in line with applicable data protection regulations.

Anonymization

I understand that when my application is shared with external advisors, identifying information will normally be anonymized. This means that details in the “Personal Information” section will be hidden, except for Gender, Country of Residence, and Date of Birth.

Confidentiality

I understand that the Fund may use anonymized data from my application for monitoring, evaluation, and reporting. The Fund will not share identifiable information from my application with third parties for other purposes without my consent. I acknowledge that the proof of ID I upload will be checked by the grant administrator and then deleted.

Retention of Data

I understand that my application will be stored securely and retained only as long as reasonably necessary to administer the grant and meet organisational requirements.

Monitoring and Evaluation

I understand that the Prince Claus Fund may contact me for monitoring and evaluation purposes, for example by sending a follow-up form or inviting me to a short video call to share my experience.

Communications

We do not use any of your information for communications, unless we contact you specifically and receive your permission.
